Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Clinical research Nurse you will develop and maintain a high quality Clinical research environment and initiate and manage all nursing activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of the Centre by recruiting optimum patient numbers and providing excellent patient experience to ensure high levels of patient retention. You will train and develop the on-site clinical team.

  • To have experience and expertise to act as a Clinical Research Nurse and work within MeDiNova SOP’s/COP’s
  • To undertake all aspects of the work required of the Research Nurse in studies and report to the Medical Director
  • To perform visits, safety reporting and engagement with trial participants in accordance with the study protocol and MeDiNova SOP’s.
  • To comply with ICH/GCP at all times
  • To carry out pre screens efficiently and optimise patient recruitment
  • To spend adequate time with Clinical Research Associates
  • To regularly educate the team on essential medical information and protocols
  • Maximising the patient experience to maintain high levels of patent retention
  • Ensuring all data queries are acted upon in a timely manner
  • Initiating emergency actions when required
  • Supervising and managing junior Research Nurses and Clinical Trial staff
  • Deputising for the Nurse Manager when required
  • Keep abreast of medical literature
  • Participating in multi disciplinary meetings

Skills/qualifications and experience required for the job:

  • Fully qualified registered nurse with no limitations to practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (adult)
  • Experience within clinical research, Phase 2 and Phase 3 Trials exposure for at least 2 years
  • Full knowledge of GCP in practice
  • Wide range of post registration experience
  • Advanced Clinical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex research studies without supervision
  • Teamworking with colleagues, solution oriented and supportive
  • High level of attention to detail re patient information and dealing with queries efficiently
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pa full time based on experience

Excellent benefits package comprising Performance related bonus, pensions

Part time opportunities also available for minimum of 3 days ( salary pro rata)
